Next Monday (16th January) has been dubbed Blue Monday, as it is apparently going to be the most depressing day of 2012. To help inject a little cheer into this gloomy day NUS extra is selling 2,012 cards for just £1.
Blue Monday is calculated by a formula based on lack of money after the festivities, Christmas being just a distant memory, cold and short days, New Year resolutions already broken… we could go on!
If you already have a NUS extra card then now is a great time to utilise the hundreds of discounts already available to you. If you don’t have a card then starting at 9am on Monday 16th January the first 2,012 students to buy a card at www.nus.org.uk will receive it for just £1 (regular price £11).
Not only will this give you an ‘extra’ bit of cheer on Blue Monday, but you will be able to go on saving for the rest of the year with the 120 discounts and offers from online and high street retailers available exclusively to NUS extra card holders.
Discounts span all areas of student life from travel, sport, books and stationery to technology, mobile and broadband, as well as fashion, beauty and going out. On average, students who use their card wisely can save over £525 a year.
