SUSTAINABILITY CHAMPIONS FILMCLUB will be screening ‘GASLAND’ by Director Josh Fox Tuesday 22nd May, Pg.06 (Canterbury) from 5.30pm.
This film focuses on communities in the United States impacted by natural gas drilling and, specifically, a stimulation method known as hydraulic fracturing, or FRACKING.
Last month the UK government gave the ‘go ahead’ to companies to use the same technique for shale gas removal here in the UK. To engage with this, our screening will be followed by a debate led by a member of the ‘Deal With It’ Kent anti-fracking campaign group.
