We're happy to announce that Canterbury Christ Church University have been shortlisted for Most Improved Student Experience at the prestigious Times Higher Education Awards 2015.

We will be competing against Southampton Solent University, University of Chester, University of Derby, University of Gloucester and University of the West of Scotland for this top award.

The award ceremony is taking place tonight (Thursday November 26) at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London, and the Student's Union will be represented by Krum Tashev (President) and Silvia Rasca (Membership Services Manager).

"The Most Improved Student Experience category is voted for by students themselves, so it's great news for Christ Church to be nominated for this award." - Krum Tashev - SU President

This award is the result of a total of 20,000 students from every institution across the UK being polled anonymously by the independent student market research specialists Youth Sight with students asked to rate a number of aspects, including academic reputation, teaching, social life and facilities.

Update

Sadly Christ Church didn't win in their category but it was a great night to celebrate the achievement of being nominated for Most Improved Student Experience. Below are University and Union members representing Christ Church at the awards evening, which was hosted by comedian Rory Bremner and also saw Coventry University win the acclaimed 'University of the Year' award.
