Christ Church has never been shy of sporting participation over the years and with the introduction to the new intramural Football league it shows no sign of stopping.
Football is without doubt one of, if not the biggest sports at Christ Church, with hundreds of hopefuls ever year attending trials with a keen eye of putting on that maroon shirt come the start of the season. In years gone by Christ Church has always been in plentiful supply of football teams with six Christ Church BUCs teams up and running last …

It’s February and its cold, but a picnic is by no way out of the question. Pack some baked potatoes – remember to wrap in tinfoil- and a bottle of wine (it’ll certainly stay chilled!) and pick the perfect sunset spot to scoff. The necessity for layering suggests this may not be the sexiest of dates, but it’s definitely up there as one of the sweetest! p.s. Take tissues; no one likes a runny nose!
Embrace the winter weather, but do so inside! Clever Canterbury has created the indoor synthetic ice …

I will not profess to have created such a genius headline; the brains behind it were that of Gordon Smart, for his Bizarre column in The Sun, 18th December 2009. This clever play with words was used to describe Simon Cowell’s dismay at the ability of the Facebook group ‘ Rage Against The Machine for Christmas Number 1’, to have knocked his newest X-Factor puppet off of the top spot.
I’m not writing this to discuss whether or not this was fair or correct, or if little Joe was …
