A word from the CSR Station Manager

A recent article in The Guardian highlighted that with the syndication of so many commercial stations it’s becoming more and more difficult for aspiring DJs to get broadcasting experience and work their way into the radio industry, increasingly it’s a case of if you want to get involved in radio you have to be driven by a passion to do it. This is what radio is to me, more than just any ordinary interest or pastime, radio has become almost a compulsion. It’s this love for radio that has driven …

The Prodigy – Warrior’s Dance

When I was at school I couldn’t get enough of the Prodigy and it was the summer before I started 6th form that The Fat of the Land was released (1997). I already owned Music for the Jilted Generation (1994), the previous album, and then I bought Experience (1991), their first album, which I missed out on as I still in junior school and maybe a little young for rave.

Lily Allen – It’s not me. It’s you.

2009 so far has brought stars to glossy heights, with everyone staying to their own distinctive sound as the recession is settling in. One person still willing to show some bottle, and stick their neck out and try something new is Lilly Allen. Her new album ‘It’s not me, It’s you’ is the second album from the glamorous singer. Indifferent to her old album, the jokey indie feel of songs like ‘LDN’, ‘Smile’ and ‘Alfie’ have become ashes in Miss Allen’s musical past. There seems to be a whole new …

Rockband Review

X360,PS3. RRP: £129
£129.99 I hear you ask. That is the big question when it comes to this game. Is it worth spunking over a hundred quid on one game? Yes, to put in simple terms. What you get for your money is the game, guitar, microphone and the brilliantly fun drums, which alone are worth the dollar spent. Compared to the massively successful Guitar Hero, Rockband is a different class. It is a great activity to get your mates round for a quiet night in, pre-pub drink or, something to …
