The Men’s Rugby first teams took to the pitch on the evening of the 8th March, in cold and occasionally gusty conditions and accompanied by a great crowd of spectators. Women’s Basketball
Tipping-off Wednesday afternoon at Christ Church’s shiny new sports centre, the Women’s Basketball game was a well-fought one, both teams determined and giving away as little as they could. UKC scored first and solidified this with a strong opening streak of points, defending skilfully when required, forcing Christ Church to raise their game, leaving the first quarter score at 22-14 to UKC. The second quarter opened up with fast play and a fierce display from both teams, seeing longer periods of possession. However, despite some good side-line shooting …

Before the centre was built, the small and rather dated hall in Anselm, along with the fairly dingy St Georges Fitness centre, were the University’s only real sporting facilies within range of the campus, but the new sparkling and modernistic centre really is something to behold.
The welcoming new centre contains one …
