The Prodigy - Warrior’s Dance

When I was at school I couldn’t get enough of the Prodigy and it was the summer before I started 6th form that The Fat of the Land was released (1997). I already owned Music for the Jilted Generation (1994), the previous album, and then I bought Experience (1991), their first album, which I missed out on as I still in junior school and maybe a little young for rave.
All great albums with some killer tunes on, and although there have been some albums after them I guess I class …

Kasabian at Margate Winter Gardens - 23rd March 2009

There aren’t too many big names that have graced the Winter Gardens over the past few years with only maybe Jimmy Carr making it a regular feature on his comedy tours, but the photos covering every inch of wallspace in the building shows the rich heritage that Margate has had in the past.
In recent years it’s only (insert generic TV talent show) has-beens that have featured on the bill but it looks as if a corner is turning with popular bands choosing to add Margate onto the gigging circuit. In …

Horizons - The Future

For those of you who regularly visit Horizons, the bar on the Broadstairs Campus, you will have noticed that it has not been open recently on a regular basis apart from the Music nights on Wednesdays…. or maybe you haven’t.
Hospitality Services, the people who run the bar, have decided to only open the bar when there is an event booked in that can guarantee sales from the bar and warrant the staffing costs, so basically if it ain’t busy it ain’t opening and who can argue against this point?
Well, there …

Rockband Review

X360,PS3. RRP: £129
£129.99 I hear you ask. That is the big question when it comes to this game. Is it worth spunking over a hundred quid on one game? Yes, to put in simple terms. What you get for your money is the game, guitar, microphone and the brilliantly fun drums, which alone are worth the dollar spent. Compared to the massively successful Guitar Hero, Rockband is a different class. It is a great activity to get your mates round for a quiet night in, pre-pub drink or, something to …
