About Us

Welcome to the South Asian Society! We are a group of students that are interested in the countries of South Asia which include Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Bhutan, Nepal, and Sri Lanka.

Our main aim is to have exhilarating and impactful activities throughout the year which will provide a relaxed environment to socialise and enrich your university experience. These activities include Bollywood nights, Pakistan’s cuisine night, learning the history of Bangladesh, getting creative with the traditional arts and crafts of Bhutan and many more.

We also aim to have cultural events and activities in which we can educate ourselves with the similarities and differences between each ethnicity, allowing us to gain a better insight to historical events each country has had. Not only shall we have discussions about our cultures but also create a better bond and appreciation for each ethnicity.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact us via email or Instagram.
