International Inclusivity
What we have done this year
More in this section Share

We were working in a post-Brexit year in an uncertain political climate which we felt we must respond to hence our particular focus on international students. We aimed to reach out to International Students and to create a more inclusive community. We wanted to run a series of inclusive events as well as campaign days and debates to raise issues around racial discrimination and post-Brexit.

We undertook multiple high profile events to promote an inclusive campus and welcome international students and staff with events such as: One Day Without Us, Racial and Religious Discrimination in the UK - Panel debate, International Students Campaign day, International Food and Culture Fayre, Earth Hour International Candlelit Feast and a call home home awareness raising event in international students day. Malia Bouattia, NUS President, attended both our Panel debate and our International Students Campaign day.
