Hi :) I am Jenni, a third-year HR management and business student. The reason why I started studying this subject is closely related to why I would like to run for the Sports and Engagement President role. In school, I was an active member of our student union, and that was one of my greatest experiences in life. I would love to do the same at CCCU and become the Engagement and Sports President with your help. This role is also close to my heart as I am a member of the volleyball team and being in the team made my university years unique.

My main objectives if I am elected are:

  • Providing a space for students to create formative memories of their time at university, after 2-years in a virtual world. To organize new events, for example, Summer ball for final year students, Bootcamp (2-3 days of fun activities) – for sports teams at the beginning of the year, and/or Freshers ball – with a twist! Fun activities and competitions as part of this.

  • Create an engaging environment that’s accessible and open to all. Promote university sporting events to the wider student body; promote the importance of inclusivity, acceptance, and belonging that sporting brings.

  • I would like to build a strong relationship with the sports club committee and support them with any issues. At the same time, my aim is to help every sports team to reach out to more students and widen student participation in sport.

Thank you for reading my manifesto and feel free to get in contact with me to ask any questions about my ideas by contacting me at jj286@canterbury.ac.uk or on Instagram: @jozsajennifer.
