CLICK >> FRESHERS EVENTS 2019
Thanks for visiting our Freshers' minisite. It's still early in the summer (June at time of writing) so there's still lots of planning to go before September with us working on events etc. If you need your daily fix then check out ccsu.co.uk
Christ Church Students’ Union (CCSU) is here for you all the way through your studies and to help you get the most out of your time here. We have a huge range of exciting events, opportunities, and activities for you to get involved in.
If you want to join a society, sports club, run a campaign, raise money for charity or just socialise then get involved! CCSU is also here to represent your voice as a student through the Student Rep systems, Students' Union Council and the Leadership team.
What’s planned for me then?
The Union put on a wide range of Freshers' events (details available mid August) so there is something for everyone and our events are to help get people talking to each other, having fun, and most importantly making friends.

When is Freshers Welcome Week?
We have thousands of new students starting in September 2019, your term dates date will depend on what course and campus you're on. The University will contact you on when your induction week starts and when you are expected to arrive. Most students have a week of induction, known as Freshers Welcome Week, and then it's down to business.
Helping you settle in
The Union recruits Welcome Crew volunteers for Freshers' Welcome Week. They are specially selected 2nd and 3rd year students to help new students have fun, stay safe and enjoy all the opportunities of life at university, they'll even be there to help you move in at University accommodation!
Welcome Crew are there to answer any questions you have, give directions, help run and co-ordinate events, and most of all help you settle in to your new life at Canterbury Christ Church University. They have all been there and done that, and of course been Freshers' themselves in the past, so they know what you’re going through.
What to do if you can’t wait until Freshers’ Week.
Check out our Freshers' Facebook groups and chat to other new students before you arrive. Find out who is on your course, who’s in the same accommodation, and also to get excited about coming to Uni!
