Hi guys, as you might know I'm running for MedSoc President for the next academic year.

I would love to continue from the work done by the current committee this year and also grow MedSoc across all 3 future year groups.

I am open to any and all ideas and listening to you all about anything. So please do come and ask me anything, I'm available at all times.

Some ideas I mentioned during my hustings speech:

- I'd like to hold a referendum on placement weeks in year 2 as I know this has been a hot topic, especially over Easter.

- Furthermore, I'd like to work closely with the academic reps and placement leads to ensure that placement across all 3 year groups is as beneficial to us as possible and ensure that it isn't too great of a financial burden on top of the extortionate tuition fees and overall cost of living.

- Increased integration between year groups and increased tutoring opportunities between years;

- Events with our sister Med School, BSMS. Such as sports events and socials;

- Encourage more sub societies that aren't medicine orientated, these can be linked to similar societies from Kent and CCCU with joint social/sessions;

- Anonymous feedback for modules throughout the terms;

- More comfy seating and chill areas around pears.

I have lots of experience leading a student leadership team and enjoy speaking at events and helping the Med School in any way I can and I believe this role to be the perfect one for me.
