Candidate for the position of MedSoc - BMA Representative

MUKTI NAKARJA

Hi

I am Mukti and I want to be BMA representative so please vote for me!

I am really enthusiastic about the BMA representative role because it incorporates 4 priorities which align closely with myself. They are finance, welfare, education and widening participation. KMMS provide great scholarships to students and offer a wide range of places to those from widening participation backgrounds. However, now that we are in KMMS there is more we can do for widening participation within the course and beyond. In addition, KMMS takes on a large number of graduate students and so finance is important. However, finance is not only a concern for graduates but also international students and undergraduates of widening participation.

If I am BMA representative, I can continue to address financial implications including the fees for international students, NHS bursary for students and supporting all students despite their background. As BMA representative, I want to contribute nationally to increasing mental health support and awareness of medical students in this degree. I am organised and motivated for the role to strive to do the best and ensure that medical students have a voice in important issues.

Thank you for taking the time to read my manifesto. Please vote for me!
