My name is Issaya Mayro and I am KMMS medical student (first year). I believe in change and that people need to be listened to and treated with respect if the change is to be achieved. I appreciate that people have different perceptions and goals of what good university life means both social and academic life and that different pathways needs to be adopted to meet these goals.

If I succeed in becoming the vice president, I will Communicate with the MedSoc leadership team to improve and enhance the experience of all KMMS students through different actions plans which will be developed via discussion and hearing from the KMMS students, the staff and past MedSoc leaders on what is feasible and achievable.

For instance, I would look to improve the well-being of you as KMMs student with the wellbeing officer and team by looking at the possibility of doing more mindfulness activities and making it easier to reach for support. Discussing with the president and the social secretary and other staff members on increasing MedSoc socials events and improving the socials that will be provided including the upcoming freshers' events next September by integrating the feedback provided from year 1 and 2. Forming a support team for anyone who needs to open a sub society and help for societies that need to grow or achieve more. Discuss with the academic leads and help in any way possible to make sure your academic concerns are represented to the staff, addressed in a positive manner, and resolved if possible. In conclusion, I will work with all the MedSoc team to improve your university experience and address your concerns
