As a candidate for the upcoming student union president election, I present to you my manifesto aimed at improving the overall student experience, addressing the cost of living crisis, and ensuring a better university for all of us.

Firstly, I believe that every student should have access to high-quality education, regardless of their background. To achieve this, I will work towards increasing funding for scholarships, grants, and bursaries to provide financial support to those in need.

Secondly, I recognize the rising cost of living crisis that students are facing, from tuition fees to accommodation and basic living expenses. I will work with the university administration to find ways to reduce costs and provide more affordable options for students.

Thirdly, I believe that a better university experience can only be achieved through the involvement and engagement of students. As your president, I will work tirelessly to create more opportunities for student involvement in decision-making processes, ensuring that student voices are heard and acted upon.

Additionally, I understand that mental health and well-being are critical factors that impact students' academic success and overall quality of life. I will prioritize the provision of mental health support services and resources, as well as promote healthy lifestyle choices through awareness campaigns and educational events.

I will aim to transform the student union into a more active voice, for too long it seems that students haven't been represented well. I will change this I will make sure that issues are tackled and those that are responsible will be held to account  

Lastly, I am committed to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion on campus, ensuring that every student feels valued, supported, and included in all aspects of university life. I will work towards creating an environment where students from diverse backgrounds feel welcome and supported.

In summary, my manifesto is centred around improving the overall student experience, addressing the cost of living crisis, and ensuring a better university for all of us. I am confident that with your support, we can work together to achieve these goals and create a university experience that we can all be proud of.
