Wear Your Keffiyeh

Thu 26 Mar 9:00AM until Thu 26 Mar 5:00PM

Mary Seacole, Canterbury campus

Palestine Solidarity Society

Traditionally worn by farmers, the keffiyeh has become a symbol of Palestinian self-determination and freedom.

The keffiyeh design has three elements:

  • Olive leaves, an essential plant to the Palestinian economy
  • Fish nets representing Palestine’s connection to the Mediterranean sea
  • The bold lines representing long-lasting trade routes

Keffiyeh information: Hirbawi (kufiya.org)
