About Us

Welcome to the Canterbury Christ Church Volleyball Club!

Whether you're a seasoned player or new to the sport, our club offers a vibrant and inclusive environment for everyone who shares a passion for volleyball. We pride ourselves on our competitive spirit, teamwork, and the strong sense of community that brings us together both on and off the court.

Volleyball is an exciting and dynamic team sport that emphasises agility, coordination, and strategic thinking. It's a game of quick reflexes and precise teamwork, where communication and collaboration are key. Our society focuses on both the technical skills and the teamwork necessary to excel, making it a perfect choice for anyone looking to challenge themselves and be part of a competitive yet supportive team.

At the heart of our society is a dedicated team of players who support and motivate each other to achieve their best. Whether we're preparing for league matches, friendly games, or the much-anticipated varsity event at the end of the year against ‘University of Kent’ our focus is always on working together as a cohesive unit.

We train regularly, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to develop their skills and contribute to the team at the Christ Church Sports Centre (CT1 1XS). To ensure a smooth and organised experience, all new members are required to download the Team Christ Church app and book their spot before attending each session. Upon arrival at the sports centre, our friendly members at the front desk will assist you with signing in and getting started.

Beyond the court, we know how to have fun! Every Wednesday after training, we head to Cuban, one of the most popular clubs in Canterbury. These socials are a great way to unwind, build friendships, and enjoy the university experience to the fullest. Whether you're dancing the night away or just enjoying the vibe, our socials are not to be missed.

We are proud to be supported by our sponsors, who play a crucial role in helping us achieve our goals. Their contributions allow us to secure equipment, organize events, and participate in competitions throughout the year. We extend our heartfelt thanks to New Balance and more sponsors, whose support makes everything we do possible.

One of the highlights of the year is the varsity event, where we compete against our rivals in an intense and thrilling match. This event is the culmination of our hard work throughout the year and a chance to showcase our skills in front of a lively crowd. It's an opportunity to represent our university with pride and to experience the thrill of competitive sport at its finest.

Whether you're looking to compete, make new friends, or simply enjoy a new sport, Canterbury Christ Church Volleyball Club is the place for you. We welcome everyone, from beginners to experienced players, and look forward to seeing you at our next training session or social event.
