How to Join

In order to play for sports teams at Christ Church you need to purchase the two different memberships linked on this page: Students' Union Sport Membership and Christ Church Sport Subscription.

Christ Church Sport Subscription + Students' Union Sport Membership = Sports Club Member

Without both memberships & subscription you will not be able to take part in your club's activities, training and matches.

Once you have selected your Rugby (Women's) membership, you can process your Christ Church Sport Subscription.

Part 1 · Christ Church Sport Membership

As a member you get access to all the essentials for your sport, including:

  • Matchday and training facilities
  • Coaching (when agreed)
  • Entry fees for competitions (BUCS leagues, local, regional, and national events)
  • Transport to and from main competitions
  • Payment for officials
  • Necessary equipment
  • Affiliation fees with your National Governing Body, plus extra benefits (like increased insurance, partner discounts, ticket ballot entries for pro sports)
  • First aid cover during training and competitions

Your club also gets extra perks:

  • Free facility hire for Varsity, charity or special events
  • Support with development initiatives (like achieving SportsMark, social action projects, or making your sport more accessible)
  • Help with finding work or volunteer opportunities in sport
  • Assistance in getting sports qualifications (coaching, officiating, etc.)
  • Additional benefits from our local partnerships

Part 2 · Students' Union Sport Membership

This membership is set by your club and the funds are only spent on things that will collectively help support the club.

Examples of what your memberships can be spent on but are not limited to are:

  • Kit
  • Dinners/end-of-year awards
  • Extra sessions outside of budgeted Christ Church Sport Membership costs
  • Extra travel outside of budgeted Christ Church Sport Membership costs

  • Allow committee members access to their club email accounts
  • Allow you to run and vote in Committee Elections
  • Committee members to access the website and finance systems
