Why do you want to apply for a Student Leader Position?

I am applying for the role of Union President because I want to represent students at Canterbury Christ Church University and make sure their voices are heard. As a CCCU student, I understand the challenges students face and the importance of a supportive, inclusive Students’ Union. I want to work closely with students and the university to improve communication, support wellbeing, and create positive change that benefits everyone. I am approachable, committed, and passionate about building a strong student community where all students feel valued and represented. I am applying because I want to make a real difference to the student experience at Canterbury Christ Church University.

What are your Priorities?

If elected, my priority would be to make sure students feel heard and supported at Canterbury Christ Church University. I would focus on improving communication between students, the Students’ Union, and the university, while prioritising student wellbeing and inclusivity. I would also support student-led activities and work to create positive, realistic changes that improve the overall student experience.

What skills and experience do you have that would make you a good Student Leader?

I have strong communication and leadership skills, and I am confident in listening to students and representing their views clearly and responsibly. I am approachable, organised, and committed, which allows students to feel comfortable sharing their concerns and ideas with me. Through my experience as a CCCU student, I understand the importance of teamwork, inclusivity, and effective communication. I am passionate about supporting students, working collaboratively with the Students’ Union and the university, and helping create a positive and welcoming student environment. I bring dedication, honesty, and a genuine desire to make a difference for students, and I am motivated to lead in a way that puts students first.
