Why do you want to apply for a Student Leader Position?

I have spent the last 3 years involved within the university and become a core part of my Sporting club, whilst also becoming part of the Executive Committee here at CCCU. I have ideas and ways to continue to improve sporting and student life here at Christ Church. Watching both Molly and Max inspired me to also go for the role myself. I believe I can make a big change here at the university and it’s an opportunity I would love to take and know I’d thrive in!

What are your Priorities?

Emphasis on mental health and support inside and outside of the university. A push for more sporting involvement within the university and further push initiatives such as women in sports, mental health in sports. Encourage fresh ideas encompassing all aspects of the university both inside and outside of sports. Overall safety at university, whether it is a Wednesday night out or if it is whilst on campus.

What skills and experience do you have that would make you a good Student Leader?

Within my time at university I have been a member of Men’s Hockey and constantly challenged and supported new ideas, bringing fresh perspectives to the table and a well rounded thought process. With this year I was President and pushed the club into the best light it had been seen in a long time. I am a friendly face with unlimited patience and a want to always strive for greatness. Within my course and career I have had a focus on SEND studies and want to further develop the universities awareness of Special Educational Needs and break down any barriers for involvement here at the university.
