President

Hello everyone, I’m Cuby Rooper (Ruby), and I’m running for President. Last November, I stepped up from Wellbeing Officer to Vice-President, and I’m ready to take the next step to continue building on the club’s progress. I believe my experience in this role has given me the skills and understanding needed to be a great Pres. Rugby has been central to my university experience and has shaped who I am today. Despite losing many players last year, we rebuilt with new members and created a strong, supportive team. I want to continue fostering rugby as an inclusive sport, welcoming players of all skill levels. I’m committed to running skills sessions with quality equipment to help players develop individually. I will also continue celebrating achievements through rewards and social media recognition. As our numbers grow, I aim to return to cup competitions and complete a full BUCS season. Rugby teaches leadership, resilience, and teamwork. I want to give back by fostering a positive environment both on and off the pitch. By maintaining open communication with coaches and committee and supporting all members, I will help ensure training sessions benefit the entire team. Let's make next year a great one!
