Social Media Officer

This year, our society has delivered weekly debates and skills workshops to support members in developing their abilities. For the next academic year, I want our online presence to reflect this same energy, ensuring members are informed, engaged, and connected. My aim is to build a strong and recognisable digital identity through consistent, high quality content, including clear promotion of events and a reliable posting schedule. I want our platforms to be interactive, introducing weekly polls, “hot topic” discussions, Q&As, quizzes, and member spotlights to showcase talent and encourage participation. It is also essential that opportunities, such as the potential Parliament visit and collaborations with other societies, are effectively promoted. I will ensure timely, detailed announcements alongside follow up content like photos and highlights to increase visibility. To expand our reach, I plan to collaborate with other societies, promote content more widely, and highlight the value of debating across different career paths. Overall, I am committed to creating an engaging social media presence that strengthens communication, increases participation, and keeps all members informed and involved.
