Juliette Ophelia Stone

What is your Manifesto?

Hi there! My name is Juliette, and I’m hoping to become the Wellbeing Officer for the Debating Society for the 2026–2027 academic year. A little background about me: I will be going into my third year of Law with International Relations this September. I also briefly served as Vice-President of the Debating Society this year before choosing to step back and focus on myself and my studies. I consider myself to be an open and approachable person, and if elected, I would work to ensure that all members feel comfortable, supported, and heard. I would aim to be a first point of contact for anyone feeling excluded, experiencing difficulties with others, or facing any issues affecting their wellbeing within the society. Creating an inclusive environment in debates is something I care deeply about, and I would actively uphold the University’s ‘Expect Respect’ code. I would also work closely with the committee to ensure debates remain respectful and non-toxic, with no tolerance for direct or indirect bullying. Thank you for taking the time to read my manifesto and I hope you will consider me as your future Wellbeing Officer for the Debating Society. Avec mes remerciements.
