Charity Officer

Hello, I am Katie, a Primary Education student and I am running for Charity Officer for the upcoming year. I am passionate about this role because I believe in the importance of supporting charities and making a positive impact within our community. I am approachable, friendly and a strong team player, which I believe will help me succeed in this role. Due to my course, I have a particular passion for children’s charities, as I understand how vital support and care are in shaping young lives. I am especially passionate about supporting Great Ormond Street Hospital and Heart of Kent Hospice, as well as the MS Society, which is close to my heart as my dad lives with multiple sclerosis. These experiences have strengthened my empathy and commitment to raising awareness and funds for meaningful causes. I want all society members to feel involved and heard, and I would ensure everyone has a say in the charities we support throughout the year. I am also keen to work closely with the Social Secretary to organise inclusive and engaging fundraising events. Thank you for reading, and I hope I can count on your support.
