Social Secretary

If I were to become Social Secretary, I would continue to organise fun, engaging socials with creative themes that people can get involved in, while also encouraging members to bring in their own ideas. Socials were a huge part of helping me settle into university, and I would love to create that same welcoming environment for the next cohort of freshers. I would aim to release each social theme at least two weeks in advance where possible, giving everyone plenty of time to get involved. I would also work closely with my co–Social Secretary to plan and deliver these events, making sure we communicate effectively and stay aligned on what we want our socials to achieve. I have shown strong commitment to the team through consistently attending socials, training sessions, and matches, and I would carry that same level of dedication into this role. I also see myself as approachable and supportive, and I would want members to feel comfortable coming to me, whether it’s about socials, wider football issues, or anything else they might need support with. Alongside this, I would actively help promote Student Union events and encourage members to get involved across the wider university community.
