What is your Manifesto?

I believe I would be a strong candidate for wellbeing officer as I bring both personal understanding and genuine empathy to the position. Having experienced my own mental health challenges, I recognise how important it is to feel supported, heard, and included within a community. Dance, for many of us, is more than just a hobby it’s a key part of our wellbeing, identity, and routine. As a recovering injured dancer, I also understand how difficult it can be when that connection is disrupted, and how vital encouragement and inclusion are during those times. I believe I am approachable and easy to talk to, and I would strive to create an environment where every member feels comfortable reaching out if they need support. I am passionate about ensuring dance is a welcoming and inclusive space for everyone, regardless of ability, experience, or personal circumstances. As Wellbeing Officer, I would actively promote positive mental health, encourage open conversations, and support initiatives that prioritise members’ wellbeing. I am committed to helping create a supportive, uplifting atmosphere where everyone can thrive both within dance and beyond it.
