Captain

Hi I’m Val and I’ll be running for women’s captain. I have been playing badminton for around 10 years as well as playing in BUCS league for 2 years now. I would make a good captain as I am well organised and am well experienced with train travel, especially in and around London, so I would make sure to find the most efficient way to and from away games. I am also passionate about helping my teammates improve and supporting them so they can play their best. I know what it’s like to spend a lot of time trying to perfect a shot and the joy it brings when you finally get it and I’d like to help other people feel the same joy too. I’m also ambitious and have the drive to get behind the others and help us to be competitive in the league. Thank you for taking the time to read my statement
