Communications Officer

Hey! I am Smriti, currently a first-year medical student. I am excited to run for Communications Officer for KMMS Medsoc 26/27. As a graduate, I’ve taken on various roles across different societies, gained experiences, that have reinforced the value of clear and effective communication. Background in digital creation has also given me opportunities to make video-contents, blogs, event posters, all of which I would love to do for Medsoc. Medical school is a long journey, and I want to make sure that the moments that define it, whether it’s freshers’ events or the Graduation ball, are captured in a way so you can always come back to them. If elected, some of my aims include: • Creating relatable, fun but informative content, accessible across all social media platforms. • Streamlining communication between subsocieties and cohorts, so no opportunity is missed. • Effective signposting for students when support or guidance is needed. Being a communication officer requires creativity, approachability, and organisation, all of which I aim to bring. My vision aims for the team and me to be an approachable, reliable resource for students, rather than a stream of messages in your inbox.
