Sub-Society Lead

Hi, I’m Binu, and I would love to be your Sub-Society Lead! If I were elected, I would introduce termly meetings with committees to ensure they are well-supported in running their societies, and ensure that they are active members of MedSoc, including creating more opportunities for clinical year engagement, so that ALL students can make the most of their community. I would also liaise with CCSU to create practical resources to support societies logistically, whether it be finding contacts for bookings or ensuring their elections are run fairly and smoothly. I want to increase subsociety visibility beyond Fresher’s fair, so that students can make the most of them at all points of the year. Finally, I want to recognise and celebrate the hard work of subsoc committees, potentially through MedSoc Society Awards, as well as collecting student feedback on what’s on offer, so as to continuously improve the society experience for everyone. I have absolutely loved being an active member of 3 subsociety committees this year, and want to use my insight to make the committee experience smoother for everyone. I’m friendly, approachable, organised and reliable, and would love to take my involvement to the next level in this role!
