I am running for Wellbeing Officer because I am passionate about creating a supportive, inclusive environment where every medical student feels heard and able to thrive. Medical school can be incredibly rewarding, but also demanding and, at times, overwhelming. I believe wellbeing should be a priority, not an afterthought. If elected, I will focus on promoting a healthier balance between academic pressures and personal life by organising regular wellbeing events, such as social activities, peer support spaces and mindfulness sessions. I also want to improve awareness and accessibility of existing support services, ensuring students know where to turn when they need help. I will work to create a culture where talking about mental health is normalised and encouraged. Most importantly, I will listen and am very approachable :) I aim to represent your concerns and ideas, working with the society to implement changes that genuinely benefit students.
