RACHEL LINDSAY

What is your Manifesto?

If I were Wellbeing Officer at KMMS, I’d focus on creating a relaxed, inclusive space where people can switch off and enjoy themselves outside of medicine. I’d organise a mix of activities like yoga sessions, crafts, and game nights—keeping things varied so there’s something for everyone, whether you want something chilled or more social. I’d also make sure both pre-clinical and clinical students are included, as I know their schedules can be really different. By running events at different times and keeping things flexible, I’d aim to make it easy for everyone to get involved and feel part of the KMMS community. I’m a good listener and approachable, so I’d be someone people feel comfortable coming to with any concerns. I’d work closely with student support services to help signpost students who may be struggling, while also being there to lend an ear and offer support where I can. My aim would be to make sure no one feels overlooked and that everyone knows where to go for help.
