Phase 1 Social Secretary

Hello! I am Dan and I am applying for this role in partnership with Aagnya Sakharelia. I believe that the coalition of our individual ideas and skillsets would bring about an exciting and smoothly-run year of events in the MedSoc calendar. We are keen to hear your opinions so we can arrange enjoyable events suited to each and every type of student. A way in which I hope to achieve this is to enlist the help of an assorted subcommittee to ensure that we can appeal to all. I am eager to pad-out the academic calendar with more social events throughout each term. From freshers' and refreshers' weeks to post-AKT celebrations and everything in-between! Back home I work in the Events department of a hotel, giving me insight into how large events, like weddings, are organised and run efficiently. These are directly transferable skills so we can ensure the annual MedSoc Ball is the best it can be. Autonomy will be handed back to you, your input directly shaping the event.
