Volunteering

To assist Homeless Support staff, as a part of a volunteer team, in welcoming clients and effectively handling all enquiries for support.

We know it can take a great deal of courage to seek help, but we are passionate about responding to the crisis of homelessness and providing practical support for anyone who is homeless in Folkestone & Hythe district.

Principle tasks:

• Welcome clients to the service, efficiently handling enquiries and requests for appointments.
• Managing the door-entry system and entrance/departure of visitors, volunteers, clients and donors.
• Ensure the staff on duty are aware of any issues noticed in the reception area that gives rise to any concernns.
• Carry out other tasks to support the HSS Manager as required.
