Volunteering

To assist the Shop Manager in the effective running of the Rainbow Charity Shop.  The financial surplus of generated by the shop is used to support the work of the Folkestone Rainbow Centre.  The Rainbow Shop also plays a role in the promotion of the image and work of the Rainbow Centre.

The Rainbow Shop is the retail arm of the Rainbow Centre, helping to raise vital income for the Centre’s work. The sale of items in the Rainbow Shop helps to generate funding to provide support and hope to individuals and families experiencing deprivation or hardship in the Folkestone and Hythe District.

Principle Tasks:

• Serve customers in the shop
• Ensure that teh shop is fully stocked in all product lines, at all times, as stock levels allow#
• Maintain good housekeeping in the shop
• Sort donations, paying particular attention to written sortijng guidelines and quality control
• Price stock in accordance with written price guidelines
• Carry out other tasks to support the Shop Manager.
