Project Hope Letter Writer

SATEDA

Over 60% of women in prison have experienced domestic abuse.  As a charity supporting women and children who have experienced domestic abuse, we write to let them know that they are not alone or forgotten.

Our volunteers write postcards, letters and positivity messages, which are sent via our Medway office to 4 prisons in England.  Many of our student volunteers enjoy helping within Project Hope as it is a role that can be completed remotely around studies and other work or volunteering commitments.

There is currently a postbox in the Careers and Enterprise Hub of Canterbury Christ Church University for students to post their letters and a member of the SATEDA team collects them monthly.
