Fitness to Practise (FTP) support

If you're studying a professional course, you are expected to follow both:

  • The Code of Conduct set by your professional body (e.g. Teachers' Standards, NMC, HCPC, SWE, GMC)
  • The University’s Student Conduct Procedure

If you are believed to have breached these standards, you may be referred to the Fitness to Practise (FTP) Procedure.

Get support from the Students’ Union

If you are facing a Fitness to Practise procedure, you are entitled to free and confidential support from the Students’ Union Advice Service.
