University Behaviour Expectations

Canterbury Christ Church University does not tolerate unacceptable behaviour towards students, staff, or anyone visiting, working, or studying at the University.

As members of the University community, students are expected to commit to and act in accordance with the expectations and principles set out in the Expected Behaviours of Students and the Student Prevention of Harassment and Sexual Misconduct Policy

This involves taking positive action when members of the University community act inappropriately, by challenging or reporting behaviour that falls short of our commitment to each other.

You must follow the Student Code of Conduct, which applies to behaviour:

  • On and off University premises
  • In University accommodation
  • On social media

Disciplinary Action

The University may discipline students for unacceptable behaviour wherever and whenever it occurs, including off-campus incidents, to protect its reputation and community.

For details, see the Student Conduct Procedure.
