This training is designed to give you a detailed overview of the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) and the responsibilities you have as a member of a student group at Christ Church Students' Union.
As a committee member, you are a data controller and therefore have a responsibility to handle personal data in an appropriate way in line with GDPR, whether that's getting sign-ups at Freshers' Fayre or using the groups admin on the union website.
Failure to follow this guidance may result in disciplinary action from the Students’ Union and/or the University as well as potential fines from the Information Commissioner’s Office.
All student groups must undergo this training in order to be able access information about their members along with other useful tools and information.
