About Us

A group for disabled students and allies to get together and make the world a better place for disabled students.

Our aims –

  • To create a safe space for disabled students at CCCU, where students feel comfortable sharing their problems and achievements
  • To be the soundboard for disabled students with a particular passion for improving the services which are integral to disabled students’ lives at the university
  • To make a conscious effort to connect with disabled students on and off-campus to support them through their times at university
  • Work with various university departments including Estates and Facilities to run campaigns and raise awareness of issues disabled students face so we can solve them more effectively.

Our socials –

  • One social a week- this could be a DSS only social or a takeover
  • A variety of socials – including film socials, picnics, chat catchup socials etc
  • We welcome all ideas about what we could do at socials.

Medical Disclaimer

When purchasing your membership, we need you to share any pre-existing medical conditions, illnesses or injuries by completing this form. This will enable us to provide support to you throughout your time involved in sports clubs and societies. We need you to keep us updated if any circumstances change. 

Once you have shared this information, we will ask you to gather medical evidence showing that doctors have signed you off and have given you the go ahead to participate. It helps us work with our insurance provider to ensure we are all covered and of staff to make sure your needs are met. If you need support in gathering the medical evidence, then a member of staff can contact you, once you have completed the form.

Any information you give us will only be shared with Christ Church Sport, Christ Church Students’ Union, and the president of your committee. This helps ensure your safety and risk assessments to mitigate any issues.
