About Us

Welcome to our University Golf Society! Whether you're a seasoned player or a complete beginner, we’re a friendly and inclusive group of both men and women that are passionate about all things golf. Our society is all about enjoying the game, improving together, and having fun both on and off the course.

We host regular friendly matches with other universities, giving you the chance to compete and meet fellow golfers. On top of that, we run weekly social rounds and practice sessions, including range, putting, and chipping, to help everyone hone their skills. We also love to relax and unwind together, with social nights at Penny Theatre and watching live sports – it’s all about building friendships and making the most of university life.

For those with a competitive streak, our 1st team is made up of 6 mixed players who represent us in BUCS tournaments and the annual Varsity Ryder Cup against the University of Kent. Matches are typically on Wednesdays and Sundays, and we train weekly to keep our skills sharp. Our society is lucky to have two fantastic coaches who specialise in both short game and long game techniques, offering expert guidance to help you improve.

Above all, we’re a tight-knit group, and many of us have formed friendships that will last a lifetime. If you’re looking to get involved or have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out to our committee members via Instagram. Ready to join?
