About Us

Welcome to the C4 Jets

C4 Jets is the cheerleading team at Canterbury Christ Church University. Cheerleading is a competitive team sport which is made up from stunting, tumbling, pyramids, jumping and dancing. The team competes Nationally representing the university at competitions such as Legacy,BCA and ICC. Alongside working towards this goal, we support a variety of other sports teams and societies at least once a week at their matches, games and events. Cheerleading is a sport for everyone and there is no requirement for experience. In the past we have competed in both co-ed and all girls categories and this will depend on the selected team this season.

Last season we started off at our first competition in Loughborough where we placed first in our division as well we also entered two stunt groups. Both our stunt groups did amazing and placed in 1st and 2nd. We also competed at BCA in March and did so well against such hard competition. This year we are hoping to compete at three competitions this year ! This year is different to precious as we are able too compete in competitions the Jets have never been to ! Towards the end of the year we also perform at Varsity where Kent and us show our routines in support for the University and the rest of the teams.

Our training sessions are every Tuesday and Thursday evening from 8pm to 9:30pm. We also attend Stoddy every Wednesday where we go and support other sports teams by cheering them on from the sidelines. Both of these are compulsory.

Socials are held every Wednesday evening and involve a range of fancy dress themed and games for everyone to interact with. They are run by our two social secs who arrange and manage all the social nights out, during competition season we also hold sober socials to keep us in focus ready for competition. Socials are a great way for the team to bond as a whole and a great way to further friendships created in the gym and to make some amazing memories.
