About Us

From beginners to experts, from students to workers, the CCCU Climbing Club has a diverse range of members, but it always strives to provide a comfortable atmosphere for people to climb together. Supervisors are readily available to teach anyone in how to become secure in the climbing equipment provided, and inter-club challenges are made throughout the year to encourage others to improve their climbing abilities. The club is based at the University Sports Centre, where sessions are sometimes available for over three times a week. It’s great fun, and on social outings to Wetherspoons, Chemistry and other venues, you’re sure to become involved.

No experience or equipment needed – just bring your feet and hands to make the climb!

Session times

-Tuesdays 19:00 - 21:30 (CURRENTLY OFF)

-Fridays at Chimera bouldering center 19:00 - 22:00

Monthly trips to climbing centers accross the south-east mean we can offer you a multitude of difficulties for both climbing and bouldering.

               

Our goal is to make sure everyone, no matter what ability, has the opportunity to climb and have as much fun as possible. Which is why we also have themed climbing sessions, which always lead to some interesting pictures...

Elections

Every sports club at Christ Church is run by a committee of elected students for the academic year.

At the end of each year Elections are held to elect the new Committee. You must be a member of this group to vote in these elections.

There are currently no elections running

In order to play for sports teams at Christ Church you need to purchase two different memberships:Club Affiliation Membership; Christ Church Sport Membership.
