Medway campus is the beautiful sister campus to the Canterbury site. We share the lovely green space with two other Universities, Kent and Greenwich, and several local businesses.
For many students, Medway is a complete unknown. That’s why we’ve put together this page as a guide to where to begin as a new resident, or at least regular, at the campus and in the local area!
Spaces on campus
Christ Church students use two main buildings for their education: Rowan Williams (room codes beginning with RW), Cathedral Court (Room codes beginning with CC).
Rowan Williams holds our main lecture rooms and Sim Suite, and Cathedral Court holds many offices and some lecture rooms.
Cathedral Court is also the place where you can find the I-zone (reception as you walk in) and the CCSU office (CCG19, go into the building and follow the signs to the right!).
Students also use the Drill Hall library, which is the building directly opposite Rowan Williams. However, to get in you need to access from the pedestrianised square behind the building. Cross the road from Rowan Williams and walk either left or right until you find an access route to the back of the building. This is where you’ll find the entrance to the Library!
The library runs all kinds of events from trainings to learning and library skills support. They upload all their events onto this page, so keep an eye out! They are also now open from 8am Monday to midnight Friday and 9am to midight at weekends to support end of year study. This will continue until 18th June.
The Drill Hall Library recently opened it's new Family Room! Kitted out with computers, desks and chairs for you and toys, books and games for your little ones! It's also recently been upgraded to include a changing table! You can request the key from the reception desk. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times and they are your responsability. You can also access the Student Hub from this pedestrianised square! This is another popular building for group working, eating and socialising on campus.
Eating on campus
Medway campus has lots of options to choose from!
Cathedral Court - vending machines can be found on the ground floor outside the SU office.
Rowan Williams - On the ground floor of Rowan Williams you’ll find Touchdown. Best for snacks, tea and coffee or quick lunches.
Drill Hall - The Drill hall has vending machines and a lovely cafe!
The Student Hub - The Deep End is the Student Hub’s bar and restaurant. They do snacks, quick bites and full meals. Sitting right next door to the Library, the Deep End is regularly used by students needing a break from study.
