We are C4 Dance!

The dance team at Canterbury Christ Church University who strive to create an inclusive environment for dancers of all backgrounds and abilities! Whether you have been dancing for years or just want to give dance a try, we offer something for everyone and encourage you to come along to our classes. We prioritise having fun whilst exploring new dance styles and meeting new people who all share our love of dance!

Training and Classes:

C4 Dance offers classes in six styles, including: Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz, Tap, Street and Commercial. These classes are set at a novice/intermediate level and anyone can join in! We work towards improving our technique and creating routines for our end of year showcase – but obviously enjoyment and fulfilment is our main priority. Our training sessions run Monday – Friday!

We also have our C4 competitive team which you can audition for at the beginning of the academic year. We attend multiple competitions a year as well as our own Varsity where we compete against the University of Kent. In the previous year we won 13 trophies and our second consecutive Varsity win! Competitions are a great experience (win or lose) and they allow you to continue performing throughout your university career.

Every Wednesday, we get our fancy dress on and socialise at the Student Union! With a new theme each week and a variety of games, socials are a great way to get to know the team and create bonds with new friends!
