The Psychology Society is a place for anyone who takes an interest in psychology. Whether you study the subject or something completely different, PsySoc can offer you a way to enhance your knowledge and meet likeminded people.
We are an academic society which means that we like to provide educational events for our members when we can. We are in contact with professionals who specialise in different areas of psychology such as trauma, psychosexual behaviour and hypnotherapy. We are hoping that this year they will come and provide a talk and Q and A!
We also do weekly meet ups where we can catch up with each other, these are usually on a Tuesday. We quite often go to Societies Takeover, to support other societies and can meet other students.
BPS (British Psychology Society) accredit the Psychology course, last year they provided different conferences throughout the year which would aid any student thinking of going down the route of psychology. If these are being held again year we are hoping to go and invite members to come with us. These events have been designed to broaden your minds to different areas of study and work. It will also help you to network and make new contacts.
Due to COVID19, unfortunately, nothing is guaranteed but..BUT! We are as excited for these events as you are and come rain or shine, we are going to ensure that we provide these events (or the best we can under the circumstances) in a safe social distanced environment or virtually.
All our events will be on our Facebook site and Instagram. So,keep your eyes peeled!
