Priding ourselves on being one of the most popular and largest sports clubs of 2018/19, our badminton club is a friendly and welcoming club to people all backgrounds and abilities. Members vary from county-level competitive players to students who have never played before. The club is perfect for people looking to improve their skills and fitness and at the same time also meeting a great group of likeminded people. Weekly training sessions are held every Tuesday whilst regular competitive matches take place throughout the year.

Additionally, any student’s weekly highlight is the Wednesday Social Event where the whole club comes together to celebrate alongside the other various university teams; regardless of the results, socials provide a truly unique, fun and memorable night with new themes and games all the time!

Competitive play is highly respected in the club and we are always looking to improve and expand this aspect. Players who are interested in this can look forward to regular matches against nearby clubs in local leagues and other university BUCS teams. The climax of our season is Varsity; our annual event against Kent University where the entire year’s work of training and dedication is demonstrated.

So, from the whole committee, we look forward to you welcoming you into the club!
