What is a learning support plan?
A learning support plan (LSP) is a support that the University must put in place for students with disabilities. They are the reasonable adjustments that make studying as a disabled student easier.
What support can be provided?
These plans can include support ranging from:
How can I access this support?
- Reach out to the disability team. If you have a diagnosed disability, fill in their form to start the process for an LSP.
- Attend a meeting with them. Discuss what challenges you face during your studies.
- Read and approve the draft LSP. Suggest any amendments you think you need.
- Your work is over! It will be shared with your course registry team to ensure the lecturers can view it.
It is important to note that you can access a maximum of two 7-day self-certification extensions, no questions asked. This can be really useful in bridging the gaps between your support plan creation and when it is ready to be used.
