What is a Placement Learning Support Plan?
For students with disabilities, a placement learning support plan (PLSP) lists the reasonable adjustments the university recommends to your placement provider. These need to meet the regulations set out by the accreditation body, so some support may not be available.
What support can be provided?
These plans can include support ranging from:
How can I access this support?
- Reach out to the disability team. If you have a diagnosed disability, fill in their form to start the process for a PLSP.
- Attend a meeting with them. Discuss what challenges you face during your placement experience.
- Review from Course team. Your course team will check the plan so it follows regulations related to your course.
- Read and approve the draft PLSP. Suggest any amendments you think you need.
- Share. When finalised, share your plan with your placement provider to ensure your support is in place.
