About Us

The Physio Society is a fairly new society which aims to create an inclusive, enjoyable, and educational group for all Physiotherapy Students.

Through gaining membership you will have access to extra teaching sessions, advice and guidance from other cohorts, guest lecturers, webinars, social events and more! We will be running revision sessions throughout the year in time for exams and assignments, and manual handling sessions especially before placements.

Due to COVID, many students will feel their uni experience has been disrupted, however we hope by creating this society it gives us a way of socialising outside of lectures and allows for all the cohorts to bond and learn from each other.

So you can enjoy the full benefits of membership your name, university username, email, and membership status may be shared with the elected committee of this group, the University, and any relevant or affiliated parties such as British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS), other national governing bodies, and Distinctive Bars.  This is to ensure an excellent experience and fulfil our contractual obligations as part of this purchase.

Medical Disclaimer

When purchasing your membership, we need you to share any pre-existing medical conditions, illnesses or injuries by completing this form. This will enable us to provide support to you throughout your time involved in sports clubs and societies. We need you to keep us updated if any circumstances change. 

Once you have shared this information, we will ask you to gather medical evidence showing that doctors have signed you off and have given you the go ahead to participate. It helps us work with our insurance provider to ensure we are all covered and of staff to make sure your needs are met. If you need support in gathering the medical evidence, then a member of staff can contact you, once you have completed the form.

Any information you give us will only be shared with Christ Church Sport, Christ Church Students’ Union, and the president of your committee. This helps ensure your safety and risk assessments to mitigate any issues.
