About Us

We would like to introduce you to our brand new Romanian/ Balkan Society from Canterbury Christ Church University! Our main goal is to create a fun and safe space for not only Romanians and people from Balkan countries, but from anywhere around the world to join and to have a good time while being a student! Whether you are new to university, you are looking to make new friends/meet new people, or simply you are curious about our culture, we are here to help you integrate and offer you all the support you need either socially and/ or emotionally. Besides that, we hold a very broad knowledge of how university works in general and so we are able to guide you into what other help you may need related to different topics such as assessments, student finance and so on. 

We will be creating and hosting a variety of events such as takeovers, society meetings and also huge Parties

As committee we promise you that we will be working as much as we can to keep every member happy and satisfied. Our only focus are our members and we will be very dedicated into improving this society where needed by asking for constant feedback from our members because we care about everyone and we want to hear your voice.

Medical Disclaimer

When purchasing your membership, we need you to share any pre-existing medical conditions, illnesses or injuries by completing this form. This will enable us to provide support to you throughout your time involved in sports clubs and societies. We need you to keep us updated if any circumstances change. 

Once you have shared this information, we will ask you to gather medical evidence showing that doctors have signed you off and have given you the go ahead to participate. It helps us work with our insurance provider to ensure we are all covered and of staff to make sure your needs are met. If you need support in gathering the medical evidence, then a member of staff can contact you, once you have completed the form.

Any information you give us will only be shared with Christ Church Sport, Christ Church Students’ Union, and the president of your committee. This helps ensure your safety and risk assessments to mitigate any issues.
